According to Article 6, economic operators and traders can appoint authorised representatives to submit due diligence declarations on their behalf. Nonetheless, the operator and trader remain accountable for the product’s compliance. If the economic operator is an individual or a microenterprise, they can authorize the next economic operator or trader in the supply chain to act as their authorized representative, provided they aren’t an individual or a microenterprise. In such cases, the delegated operator retains responsibility for product compliance.
